Audit My Web ("we", "the site") provides a free website audit tool. This policy explains what happens with data when you use it.
When you enter a URL to audit, our server fetches the public content of that page (the HTML, plus its robots.txt and sitemap.xml) in order to generate your report — identifying itself with the user agent "AuditMyWebBot." This is the same kind of access a search engine crawler has to any public webpage. We do not store the fetched content, the URL you submitted, or the generated report after your browser session ends. Each audit is generated fresh and discarded once the response is sent to you.
This tool only reads publicly accessible page content — the same information available to any visitor or search engine. It does not bypass logins, paywalls, or access-restricted content. If you own a site and don't want it audited, you can block our crawler by disallowing the user agent "AuditMyWebBot" in your robots.txt.
We may use third-party services such as Google Analytics to understand site traffic, and may display advertisements in the future. These services may use cookies to collect information such as your IP address and browser type. You can control ad personalization via Google Ads Settings and manage cookies via your browser settings.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
